In today’s news, Asian Development Bank donates US$100 million for impoverished Afghans, study calls for “seismic” cut in animal-people meat consumption in US, analysis of lunar data indicates Moon has solid core, water-cleaning robots developed by University of Cincinnati’s Venture Lab in United States, woman heads back into ocean with man who rescued her from drowning in Australia, Seventh-day Adventist Church in Colombia opens vegan restaurant, and upward trend seen in households with animal-people companions in Philippines.

Do you love melons as much as I do? If so, I have some useful information on how to prepare this delicious type of fruit safely. Melons such as cantaloupe, watermelon, and honeydew have a higher food poisoning risk because they are grown on or near the ground. Bacteria like listeria can spread from the ground to the rind of the fruit and into the flesh. Melons can be contaminated from the soil, water, fertilizer, and field animal-people. Bacterial exposure can happen during harvesting, transport, and handling as well. When slicing an unwashed melon, you are introducing germs and bacteria from the rind into the flesh of the fruit and into your mouth. Luckily, cleaning the outside of this fruit is an easy process. First, place the melon under cool running water. Rinse it completely and then scrub it with a produce brush; this will remove contaminants that are still on the rind. Even more effective is to use a produce-designed wash product for better cleaning. When you are done, make sure to thoroughly wash your hands.

The giggle timer shows that we are just a moment away from hearing the joke of the day. Let’s get comfy! It's called “Easy Rationalization.”

Ronald was talking to his friend after his visit to the psychotherapist.

“You know, today my therapist said I rationalize away all of my emotions. It kind of made me upset that he said that, but I guess he had his reasons.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Diane in Chicago, United States:

Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai and the Supreme Master Television team, I am a faithful viewer of Supreme Master Television from Chicago, USA. Today, while watching Between Master and Disciples (“The Inner Telepathy With a Master, Part 1 of 7, May 16, 2000”), I came across the photograph called “Am I Born Just 2 Survive???” – for some reason, the image touched my heart so deeply and brought tears to my eyes.

Born imperfect and in difficult circumstances, this delicate tiny unknown plant can be perceived as unfortunate, weak, unfit for survival for some people; yet for others, its vibrant color, strong spirit, unique beauty and dignity shine so brightly because of its imperfection and the harsh environment.

I wish all humans see the true beauty and value in each other as well as in all beings, and honor and cherish all God’s creations. Thank You, Master, for sharing this beautiful and meaningful picture through Supreme Master Television.

Yours sincerely, Diane from Chicago, United States

Precious Diane, Master senses the needs of all life, and we feel many viewers, like yourself, will relate to this photographic message from Master. There is so much to experience through our spiritual practice. May you and the hopeful American people find the noble path of love and compassion guided by the Divine. In Celestial Grace, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master shares Her creative insight: “Gentle Diane, when we are connected with other souls, even as humble as clothed in grass, we feel what they feel. The vulnerability of this precious life force and the plant’s inherent strength is what I see everywhere as souls struggle to lead meaningful lives amidst the suffering of the material world and love them helplessly. While the plant grows, it can elevate its standing and viewpoint above the difficult surrounding terrain, and it may share flowers, berries, or other fruits, blessing our planet. You have my eternal Love and I wish that the animal-people, flora, and citizens of the magnificent United States may be united by the Divine Light within themselves.”
